Newark has always had a story to tell. This June, you\u2019re invited to taste it.<\/p>\n
Taste of Newark is a guided culinary and cultural walking tour through two of the city\u2019s most vibrant neighborhoods \u2014 Downtown Newark and the legendary Ironbound district. Led by the expert guides of Have You Met Newark, each 90-minute tour takes you inside three locally-owned eateries and small food businesses, where you\u2019ll sample signature dishes, meet the owners and hear firsthand how their food is woven into the fabric of the city.<\/p>\n
These tours go well beyond what you\u2019ll find in any guidebook. Between each stop, your guide brings Newark\u2019s rich history to life \u2014 pointing out public art, architectural landmarks and the cultural threads that connect past and present.<\/p>\n
Six tours take place across three weekends in June, running Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Whether you\u2019re a Newark native or visiting for the first time, you\u2019ll leave with a full stomach, new connections and a deeper appreciation for one of New Jersey\u2019s most dynamic cities.<\/p>\n
