The track surrounds the lawn area. When the weather gets nice, you will witness sunbathers, picnickers, people playing games and flying kites, and relaxing with their dogs. There are three outdoor riding rings and two indoors. If you enjoy watching local sports grab a seat in the bleachers on the weekend or weeknights.<\/p>\n<h2>On the Water<\/h2>\n<p>Kayaking has just opened for the season. You can bring your own and launch on the creek or rent through the <a href=\"https:\/\/thelocalgirl.com\/bergen\/hackensack-new-openings-spring-2026\/\">Hackensack<\/a> River Keeper. Live music, concerts, festivals, and so much more fill the outdoor space, and the surrounding lawn can accommodate 3000 people.<\/p>\n<h2>Greenery Scenery<\/h2>\n<p>Nestled in the park, near the creek and past the equestrian area are the Butterfly Garden, Native Plant Garden, and much more. I had the pleasure of speaking with a volunteer, and they have created a natural and sustainable area that responds to the cycle of life and the role that animals, insects, fish, birds, reptiles, and plants play in it.<\/p>\n<h2>Upcoming Events<\/h2>\n<p>There will be a big celebration for America&#8217;s 250th Anniversary on July 4th. Bergen County\u2019s Star Spangled Spectacular premieres with the Sugar Hill Gang headlining at the Amphitheatre during the day, food trucks, a wine &amp; beer garden, and of course, fireworks at night.<\/p>\n<h2>Good to Know<\/h2>\n<p>As for amenities, there is free public parking available near each main area and even several Jolt electric car charging stations, as well as public restrooms. Hours are from dawn to dusk, and sometimes it extends until 10PM in certain areas if the lights are kept on outdoors. Note that the park itself does not have a web page or social media site.
