Bar Bóutique | 110 East Main Street
Owner Andrew Matarese traveled to South Africa, France, Italy, South America, and Napa Valley, California to learn all the art of winemaking. In 2021, Andrew brought his expertise to the quaint Main Street of Ramsey with Bar Bóutique, an upscale bar and eatery. In addition to its expansive wine menu, which features spirits from all over the world, Bar Bóutique also offers an impressive food menu. Bergen County locals can find entrees like pulled chicken tacos, Maryland lump crab cakes, and more. The menu also includes a selection of globally imported charcuterie board options, like aged goat gouda from the Netherlands and Palacios hot chorizo from Spain.

Bici | 61 East Main Street
Chef Anthony DeVanzo and Co-Owner Marcelo Gambarato opened this Italian restaurant in 2016 due to a growing demand from Northern New Jersey diners. Since then, the restaurant has earned recognition from various publications such as Northwest Bergen Lifestyle Magazine, NorthJersey.com, and New Jersey Monthly. At Bici, which is Italian for “bike,” guests can indulge in gourmet Italian dishes like Cherry Braised Short Ribs, Braised Veal Cheeks, Seared Bay Boat Sea Scallops, and more. In addition to its year-round classics, Maguro Sushi House also features a special sushi menu each year. Mike Mike’s Famous | 102 East Main Street
According to Mike Mike’s Famous’s website, this burger joint serves “the best burgers in Bergen County.” On the menu, customers can find options like the signature Mike Mike’s Famous, which features two 100% Angus beef patties, cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and mustard, or the Double Double, which comes with two 100% Angus beef patties and cheese. Ramsey Corner Cafe | 86 East Main Street
The Delaney family opened the Ramsey Corner Cafe in June 2021 to "share comfort food and provide top-notch hospitality,” as per an Instagram post. This cafe is open every day of the week and serves classic American fare. Bergen County locals can find options like a blackened chicken panini, fish + chips, an avocado bacon burger, and more. Sal’s Pizza Corner is a quaint spot with an old-fashioned pizzeria vibe located towards the West end of Main Street. Smyrna Mediterranean Mezze Grill | 21 East Main Street
This Mediterranean restaurant prides “[itself] on serving [its] customers delicious genuine dishes,” as per its website. The menu, which provides a wide array of apps, entrees, and sides, features items like the Muhammara, a dip blended with roasted red peppers, walnuts, and Mediterranean spices and topped with feta and parsley, and the Chicken Shish, which features marinated and charcoal grilled chicken breast, rice, grilled vegetables, and tzatziki sauce. Sparo’s Deli + Catering | 94 East Main Street
This Italian spot, with locations in Montclair and Ramsey, serves a plethora of deli classics. On the menu, guests can find the New Jersey signature breakfast sandwich: Taylor ham (or bacon), egg, and cheese. There are also sandwiches like the Mama Cici, made with chicken cutlet, prosciutto, mozzarella, broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers, and Duke’s mayo, or the Dani Girl, made with chicken and eggplant parm, marinara, and mozzarella. Tawara Mart + Tawara Japanese Restaurant | 55 West Main Street + 53 West Main Street
Kiko Ishii, the owner of Tawara Mart and Tawara Japanese Restaurant, developed her baking skills while working at a renowned bakery in Tokyo. When Kiko moved to America, she brought her expertise to Ramsey by opening Tawara Mart. Customers can find Japanese-style breads and pastries at this market, like homemade melon bread, which comes in mango, matcha, and strawberry. In addition to Japanese snacks and groceries, this spot sells premade meals, such as pork katsu with fried rice, vegetable gyoza, and onigiri in spicy tuna or shiitake mushrooms. The Bergen County Girl team recommends the Swiss green tea roll, a dessert unique to Tawara Mart.

With its old-fashioned vibes, this dessert spot transports its customers back to 1950s Brooklyn. Besides its Ramsey location, Uncle Louie G has 45 storefronts nationwide and sells 40 different flavors of Italian ice, including cannoli, graham cracker, pistachio, and more.
