Starting August 30th at 11AM, Northern New Jersey residents and visitors will have a new food hall to explore at the American Dream Mall. H Mart, an Asian grocery store, will open its food hall to guests, featuring 11 different dining options. The food hall is in addition to the H Mart store, which opened in February 2024. About H Mart
H Mart is an Asian grocery store chain that opened in 1982 with one shop in Queens. Now, there are over 100 H-Marts nationwide, and its corporate headquarters are located in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The company is known for stocking Asian grocery items and household goods in addition to American items. Many shoppers rave about H-Mart’s fresh produce, meat, and fish, and several snack items have become classics, like Pocky and dried seaweed chips.
The H-Mart location at the American Dream Mall opened in February 2024. It is located on Level 1, Court A.

What to Expect
Many H-Mart locations have food halls, including a recently opened location in Long Island City, New York. A food writer from The Kitchn recently visited and picked out her favorites. The food hall at American Dream will be over 16,000 square feet large.

The food hall will feature a collection of Asian fast-casual favorites. The food hall will offer 11 unique dining and shopping options, including:
K-Town Hero: Crafted by Michelin-star Chef Hooni Kim (owner of Danji in NYC), featuring savory bulgogi beef brisket, fried chicken, and gochujang pork belly,
The Bao: Specializing in Dim Sum, noodles, and soup dumplings.
Sang Tofu + K BBQ: Serving traditional Korean food from the renowned founder of Midori Sushi, Food Avenue, and Sang’s Kitchen.
Gold Miss: Indulge in delicious doughnuts, hot dogs, ice cream, frozen yogurt, and slush drinks.
